The annual Christmas Concert held at Godalming College was a spectacular celebration of talent and festive music. The event brought together talented musicians, vocalists, and performers from Godalming College, creating an enchanting evening that delighted audiences of all ages.
The event was hosted by Music students Lyla and Toby who also showcased their talents as vocalists throughout the event.
The evening began with the Concert Orchestra performing a stirring rendition of Les Miserables. The String Ensemble and the Chamber Choir also performed their festive songs, in between solo performances on piano, guitar and vocals.
During the interval all guest enjoyed free mulled wine and mince pies, before heading back for the second half, opening with Lyla's rendition of ‘Santa Baby’. This was followed by more contemporary music performed by the Rock Band and Hendin Band, who delighted us all with an original song. More Christmas vocal solos followed before passing on to the Jazz Band to round up the evening. To end the festive music the Jazz Band led an enthusiastic sing-along of ‘Silent Night’.
The success of the Christmas Concert was a testament to the hard work of all students and staff involved. Thank you for your dedication and we wish everyone a relaxing holiday season.
